Would You Read This Book? Is it interesting?

    • Unlocking secrets in the Bible that have been hidden for centuries, author Tov Rose goes where no author has gone before in bringing an old revelation about God into the 21st Century.

Using the book of Genesis as practical application, Tov clearly shows which three names of God represent GOD the Father, and which others represent His Son, The Word of GOD. He doesn't stop there, however.

"I discuss a number of taboo subjects in this book," says Tov, "including some overlooked and ignored issues in Bible scholarship. For example, did you know that the very letters of the Divine Name can be translated into words and the actual vowel markings for the Unspeakable Name can be themselves translated into words? Just imagine what that does for Bible translation!"

Some of the topics covered in Genesis Unbound include:

-       How to identify the names of the Living Word of God in the Hebrew Bible
-       What three (3) Names of GOD are only ever used for GOD the Father?
-       The Name of God controversy in the today's Messianic movement
-       Why the Massoretes choose the vowel markings for the Divine Name, and are they of Inspired by God?
-       How do you translate the Hebrew Vowels, and what mysteries does doing so reveal?
-       Who is the Biblical Abram/Abraham, from his own cultural perspective?
-       What are Hebrew Hieroglyphs and why they are important to modern scholarship and believers?
-       What is the meaning of the Hebrew word, ET? And Why it is significant to Christians.
-       What happens when you translate the names of every person, place and thing in the Book of Genesis?
-       Did you know that God said in Genesis that He took Abraham out of “The Fire of the Sorcerers” to bring him to a new land that he and his descendants would live in forever? And that Abraham’s brother’s name means, “burnt one”?

One thing is certain, this book promises to change the way you read and understand your Bible. Top Books

Would you read a chapter of my book if I post it online?

Forward

Ever had a conversation like that…with the air?
I know I have.
The world has a way of beating innocence out of us, doesn’t it?
When I was a kid my father introduced me to science fiction. One of my first memories was of sitting on dad’s lap watching Star Trek. Fantasy was always a big part of my life. I had an imaginary friend. I spoke to God on a regular basis and really believed that He answered me. We had conversations. We would talk about the weather, dogs, cats, what breakfast was going to be tomorrow, how awesome those clouds were…
“Look at those! Wow…”
“That one there looks like a frog! This other one looks like a lion…”
“…and that one there…it looks like…God’s Smile!”
For some reason we have very little problem accepting the idea of God—when we’re small. It seems like the most natural thing in the world to believe in a divine being who is gentle and loving, kind and caring, always having our best interest as the most important thing in His heart. I know that not everyone has had this kind of experience of God, but I know I have. I remember a time when I was around the age of three that I literally felt surrounded by God’s love. It was as if I actually LIVED in His love!
I can’t tell you how many times as an adult I wish I could return to those simpler times!
You know what I mean?

Over the years, I’ve met people from all over the world, and shared so many common stories with people from all walks of life, including the two stories above. My worldview has been challenged more times than I can count. It constantly amazes me that people from such diverse cultures can have so much in common; yet have so much not in common at the same time!
I remember years ago, beckoning to a colleague on the other side of a noisy, crowded room to come join me. An innocent enough thing to do, and something I’m sure you’ve probably had a similar experience with, right? My co-worker came storming up to me with fire burning in her eyes! She could barely contain the fuming unspoken curses raging and trying to escape from her tense, pursed lips.
I had no idea what I’d done wrong.
Several days later after trying to get to the bottom of the situation, my wife came to me and explained that in her native culture, the gesture I had used was one of calling to a lady-of-the-night to engage her services.
I really had no idea!

If it is so easy to cause offence and misconstrue one person’s gesture in the midst of a room full of people, how often do we misread, misinterpret and misunderstand the people closest to us?
We all have filters through which we sift the information we are engaged with moment-by-moment. There have been volumes of psychological, theological and philosophical works on this subject. Why? Because of the amazing amount of confusion we humans all seem to be trying to clearing up about the “this, that and the other things” of life that someone didn’t quite understand about something we did, said, wrote or the expression we did (or they perceived us to) make.
Our filters don't necessarily make us right or wrong, they simply determine our point of view.
One person may have been devastated by the death of Michael Jackson, while the next person may view it as, "One less pedophile in the world." One person may perceive Barack Obama as the Messiah while the next may view George W. Bush as the anti-Christ. These are just the filters through which each person sees life’s events, situations and the actions of others.

By being aware of our filters we are more cognizant of the fact that we are not necessarily right or wrong, we're just us. Coming to a place where we understand this concept leads us to the realization that our perspective is more often, "It's all about me,” but rarely, “I am trying to understand you…”

Here’s An Exercise:
Consider a time when you went out of your way to help someone who was then offended by your words or actions. Did the recipient see your good intentions as evil "according to their filters"?
I think most people have had such an experience, no?
In my life there is at least one person I know of that seems to always read what I say in an email in exactly the opposite way of what I actually wrote.
Do you have someone like that in your life? Perhaps more than one person?
Maybe you are that person and you know it?!?
Or…maybe you don’t.
I’ve heard many people express their frustration with these “filter problems” with such sentiment as,
I love work. I just can’t stand the people I work with!
I love God, but I can’t stand God’s people!
I Love Mankind. It’s People I Can’t Stand!
Every friendship or relationship starts out with so much hope.  We dream big about the possibilities that this person will bring to our lives.  We start out being open, generous, and giving.  Then, as people will do, we start to disagree and things get on our nerves.  In our polite, new friendship mode, we let things go to keep the peace.  Then at some point, there comes the deal breaker and all of the pent up anger gets released—and usually not in a healthy way.  Do we give in to the dark side and cling to the notion that we always have to be right?
Our filter says we are right!
Their filter says they are right!

Have you ever experienced frustrating thoughts like these?
Why is that person always reading between the lines and hearing something I am not actually saying?!?
Why does [insert person’s name here] insist that I am acting out of selfishness or malice when I only trying to be helpful?
How in the world could [so-and-so] have gotten me so wrong?

Here’s a practical example:
A while back I was at a three day conference and made some new friends with two guys who shared a common passion and vision for things. Over the course of the weekend we spent more time talking to each other than listing to the guest speakers. One of them made it clear that as much as he loves talking, he really likes doing a lot more, especially when there seemed to be so much agreement.
So we decided to meet a few more times to talk, brainstorm and pray about whether God was in these discussions and if He was, did he want us to act? As part of that prayer and excitement we thought it might be nice to bring in some more people to the prayer and discussions.
There were two other mutual friends that we invited who also shared some similar dreams and visions.
During the subsequent meeting, these other two people began accusing me of trying to force God’s hand to make things happen—when nothing could have been further from the truth. For some reason those two had the idea that I was trying to maneuver and control those gathered in order to make my own dreams come true. They had the mistaken idea that I wanted to head everything up and be the main one in charge.
It was weird. It was strange. It was very odd.
What was said was supposed to have been “from God” and maybe it was, but it sure wasn’t a message I needed to hear! Maybe it was the guy sitting next to me…because none of the things said were in my mind and heart!
I was offended.
Those two people were offended at what they thought my intentions were. They were wrong about my intentions, but they would not hear what I had to say, believing me to be trying to cover up “my sin.”
The original three of us guys were stunned at the reaction, “Where did that come from?” said one. It was actually the one guy who had done nearly all the talking who asked this question. He was the same guy who had previously said he didn’t want to just talk, he wanted to act. I think the message was for him.
The bottom line was this: the stated purpose of the meeting was to gather together to talk about mutual dreams and pray about them, and to see if God wanted to make them more than just intellectual stimulation!
The “Filter” through which those two invited guests had viewed me, was a little perplexing to say the least. Their well intentioned discussions about me with other people after the incident caused considerable harm to many relationships.
It is amazing how much damage a couple of well-intentioned “saints” can cause.
Maybe they should have come to talk to me?

Filters: Can you relate?

In our faith, it is easy to sit in church surrounded by a loving church family, and think that we will always be God-like in our interactions with others.  When the people around us are warm and wonderful, it is easy for us to reciprocate in the same manner.
But what about when false accusations come?
Our filters create difficulties in relationships, family, work environments and everyday interactions with those around us. By more clearly understanding why we (and they) react the way we do, maybe we can somehow work together toward actually being the people God wants us to be.
If our “filters” can cause so much trouble between people we love and care about, what kind of trouble do they cause between us understanding God and His intentions?

Introduction

“Christians who walk in rejection and dwell in their past, not forgiving those who have erred against them, will be emotionally weak against any attack of the adversary. Often they go from one prayer line to another, one personal prophecy to another, seeking the ultimate will of God or personal affirmation to lift their spirits. Yet in a short time, they have settled back into a condition of depression and oppression. I have seen individuals place the blame for their emotional roller coaster on others who have hurt them…”
-        Perry Stone, Jr.
The Meal that Heals

One of the things I like to say when I get up in front of people to teach is applicable here: “Do not believe everything this man is telling you!” You’re not supposed to believe me, just because I took years to write this down. I like what my kinsman, the Apostle Paul said in Philippians 2:12: “So then, my beloved, even as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.” (ASV)[1]

Deuteronomy 29:29The secret things belong unto the LORD (Jehovah hÃOwhÌy) our God (Elōhim £yihÈlé'): but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.” (KJV) [2]

Proverbs 25:2 “It is the glory of God (Elōhim £yihÈlé') to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings [the believer] is to search out a matter.”

We spend so much of our lives looking for affirmation to lift our spirits. Biblically speaking, we are made in the image of God, so it is no wonder that everything about us comes under attack at some point.

If there is one thing Satan cannot tolerate, it is the fact that we look like the one who made us. It is a constant reminder to him of his failure and ultimate judgment by God. Keeping us beaten down, irrelevant in our personal and work lives is one part of the plan, which also makes us less and less relevant to God in His Kingdom work on earth. If Satan and his kingdom can keep us living in rejection and discouragement we will not be good friends, husbands and fathers; good models to those outside of the Kingdom who need us to live lives of Godly love and compassion, expressing the very image of His love poured out for us. God is love.

Satan does everything he can to keep us from loving ourselves, loving others and loving our God. God loves and accepts us without reservation, no matter who we are or what we have done.

Satan and his kingdom have put together marriages and destroyed them. He often makes people into a family so he can dominate and destroy them with each other, generation after generation. Just look around you at the rampant child abuse, spousal abuse, bitterness between siblings and parents, and more. And when things start looking up inside a family what happens from outside? Things like work stress, loss, pain and rejection from others, life’s circumstances, and predators of all sorts. Jesus warned about the plan against us when He said in Luke 12,

“I am come to send fire on the earth; and what will I, if it be already kindled? But I have a baptism to be baptized with; and how am I straitened till it be accomplished! Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division: For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three. The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.” Luke 12:49-53

Having had thousands of years to study humanity, Satan and his cohorts know which buttons to press and when, to get us to act and react in response to their conditioning.

A pretty disturbing thought, isn’t it?

It is especially disturbing if you follow it though to its ultimate conclusion: he is trying to take as many of us with him as he can to his final resting place in the Lake of Fire

So what is the answer? How do we escape the destructive cycle?

Paul said it best in Romans 7:21–8:4

“I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me. For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin. There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.”

In other words, “God holds the trump card.”

There is more to the story. You can’t understand fully what Jesus did for us, or why He did it, unless you understand the heart of the One who sent Jesus. This book is about Him, the one we call Abba, Father…or is it?

A Note from the Founder of The Entertainment Industry Chaplains

A Note from the Founder of The Entertainment Industry Chaplains

Organization Update
Things have been quite eventful over the last six months. God has been opening some amazing doors of opportunities as we reach out to develop partnerships with other international, national and local organizations to provide care and comfort to entertainers wherever they may travel and live. Personal Update
At the same time that we have some wonderful things going on, it is typical to have struggles on the home front, and we could certainly use your prayer, encouragement and support during this time. Some may know that for a long time I kept either a part-time or full-time job to pay the bills. As of this writing I've been without for some time, because my own medical needs make it difficult to work a regular job.. The burden had then fallen on my wife. However, she is currently on a medical leave of absence and for the past month we've been without an income stream.

Book sales have been modest, but that income goes back into the printing of more books, not day-to-day living expenses. I've had a few speaking engagements, which have certainly helped, but I need to have a full schedule in order to keep us above water. If you know of anyone looking for a Conference Speaker, Event Speaker, or church speaker  (or even a short/long term fill-in position), I'd love to hear from you.

If you're interested in financially supporting us, we'd certainly appreciate your prayerful consideration!

Perspectives on Israeli News,
By Jason Rose

Yesterday, while shopping I noticed a news broadcast on a store TV that brought a tear to my eye. What I saw was...
Gilad Shalit Walking Free: Joy Tempered with Fear
I knew it was going to happen. I didn't expect my own reaction to be so emotional. Gilad Shalit was released from captivity after being a
hostage for 5 1/2 years. Why is this important? There are THREE reasons:
1) Israelis value life, which is a strength (and also a weakness)
2) Over 1,000 terrorists were released in exchange for one abducted soldier
3) Terrorism gained a huge victory.
Israelis Value Life
The main difference in Israel's fight against terrorism lies in the difference of cultures between Islam and Judaism. Hamas understands these differences and exploited Israel's value of life. While Gilad Shalit remained alive, Hamas knew that they would be able to get nearly anything they wanted in exchange for him. They played their cards at a time that was best for them politically. Hamas has now regained its popularity in the West Bank, where only two days ago, Hamas supporters were all but ashamed to wave the Hamas flag in public.

A friend who works at a Tel Aviv hospital told us that most of the babies born yesterday were named Gilad (for a boy) or Giladit (for a girl) in honor of the release of Gilad Shalit. This demonstrates very well how Israelis are so blessed to have 'their' son returned to them. The joy is so great! Although they fear the cost of that freedom, most Israelis consider Gilad Shalit a child of our country and our responsibility. He was doing "mandatory" army service, and we owed it to him to bring him home alive at any cost. My eyes swelled with tears and I got all choked up when I saw him returned to Israeli custody. We value life!

I remember once reading a speech by Yasser Arafat (an English translation of an Arabic speech), in which he spoke to a Muslim crowd, he said, "Have 12 children, and give me two of them to be martyrs for the fight against 'Zionist imperialists' [an allusion to Jewish people living in Israel]." In Islam life does not hold the same value. To die as a martyr is an honor. To kill your own child for shaming your family is a requirement for the sake of honor. It is a mistake to assume that in Islam they value life, like we do. They value honor much more than life.

The former Prime Minister of Egypt, Anwar Sadat, was involved in establishing the military takeover of Egypt that eventually put him in power. In so doing he had dishonored his family by making peace with Israel, a non-Muslim state. Although his brother was a secular Muslim, Anwar Sadat's greatest political ally and his best friend, his brother helped Sadat's enemies assassinate him for the sake of family honor. He agreed with him politically, but family honor comes first.

The battle between Israel and terrorism could be summed up as a battle of: Honor verses life.

Following their release many of the most feared terrorists in Israel's history vowed to kidnap more soldiers, while Israeli leaders vowed to protect its soldiers.
1,000 Terrorists Released from Prison Sentences
One Israeli soldier was exchanged for 1,000 of the most dangerous terrorists in Israel's history still living today. The precedent set is terrible! They estimate that there are around 5,000 terrorists still serving prison sentences in Israel. By gaining the release of 1,000 terrorists by kidnapping just one soldier, the terrorists have found a recipe that works. They can now continue to commit terror, get arrested, receive medical treatment, housing and food until another soldier is kidnapped. At which time, they will be released to commit terror attacks again. I don't think any of us like this precedent. So what do we do now?

Although overjoyed at Gilad's release, Israelis are terrified that a new wave of terror is about to begin... and the terrorist organizations just regained 1,000 soldiers!
Terrorism Gained a Victory
Will other terrorist groups now try the same strategy, now that kidnapping has produced results? So many international leaders applauded the successful negotiations between a known terrorist group and a sovereign country. The question remains will other countries also negotiate with terrorists? Time will tell. Are Israelis alone in caring so much about life that they are willing to sacrifice safety and security for just one soul?

As believers in Yeshua (Jesus), we respect life, but we do not value it in the same manner as most Israelis. We know that our lives here on earth are only for a short time and that our eternal destinies are secured. What makes us distinct is not in fact our value for life, rather it is the Biblical value of and respect for justice. In this case, justice was NOT served. The president of Israel and the government pardoned 1,000 terrorists, nearly all with blood on their hands. Some of whom would be considered mass murders.

As a believer, I am torn. On the one hand, I am overjoyed that Gilad is finally home and that he is safe. On the other hand, God's moral law has been violated, not just by the terrorists, but now by the Israeli government, who let 1,000 murders walk free.

Few can rejoice at the outcome and none of us know for sure if we did the right thing, except for Gilad Shalit's parents, who did everything a father and mother could do to save their child. I don't know about you, but I would probably have done the same thing if it had been my son.
